After I started selling property it did not take long to realize I was with the right company. Remax has a reputation throughout the industry for professionalism and success. I have dealt with agents from all kinds of companies from small start up's to other major franchises. There is a noticeable difference with the Remax agents. I realized quickly that in this profession, like in life, you  should listen to those around you with more experience and learn from them. I have learned valuable lessons on how to deal with customers, clients, other agents and transaction situations from many other Remax agents I've worked with.

Because I have been self employed since I was twenty-one  I realized quickly that I wanted to be a "Career Agent." I've never been one who has conformed to the typical business attitude in my life, i.e.. learn a trade and work for someone else until it's time to retire. My view has always been that once I learn a trade then I'll  spend time refining the basics and then I go on my own. Remax's Career Agent program has allowed for just that. It is an option for those people who think outside the box and have an entrepreneurial spirit. I can't understand why anyone who desires to work on their own would want to be confined by the limitations of a typical real estate company's restrictions. Career agency is a way to be self-employed because you make your own hours, you make your own deals and you make your own money! Yes there are the fees, but with any business there is overhead. Because you are working for yourself, essentially, your motivation level will rise because you are doing each deal for you.
